Sarasota tops list of Best Markets for House Hunting

NBC Today Show real estate commentator, Barbara Corcoran, recently named the top 10 markets for house hunting in the USA. What town is at the top of the list? Sarasota, of course. She mentions the great prices but also notes that prices are rebounding quickly. As usual they discuss our beaches but Barbara points out what a sophisticated urban city we have. Good news for those interested in Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch.

Siesta Key Beach – #2 in the USA

Is this a great place to live or what?

As if living in Lakewood Ranch wasn’t good enough, we now have more to brag about. The public beach at Siesta Key, just 30 minutes from Lakewood Ranch, was ranked #2 in the USA by Dr. Stephen Leatherman, A. K. A. “Dr. Beach”. Leatherman publishes his list of “Best Beaches” annually (www.drbeach.org). Hanalei Bay on Kauai was #1. I’m sure it’s beautiful, but who can afford to live there. More good news. Siesta Beach along with three other Sarasota area beaches – Lido Beach, Venice Beach and Caspersen Beach – have all been named as Certified Clean Beaches. More great reasons to live in Lakewood Ranch.
